Re: De Gea
Trevor B, you sound like a Man Utd fan coming out with the 'spend what they earn' line, I've heard that more than enough times from Glory Hunters in the past.
Does it matter where the money comes from? If a club spends gazillions of pounds on 'Galacticos' to try and win trophies surely it doesn't matter where the money comes from, self generated or funded by rich owners, it's money spent, loads of it without any moral restraint.
Eventually it will mean the end of the game as we know it and Man Utd are just as culpable as the others.

Re: De Gea
ray, without trying to sound like a man utd fan, if you are able to afford the best players, why wouldn't you buy them? do you not think that by spending 14m on payet we are trying to buy better results? as mentioned before the difference between them and the likes of chelsea and man city is that they have spent what they've earned, not what was gifted by a billionaire owner.

Re: De Gea
fred flinstone, so when they paid millions for the likes of Ronaldo, Rooney, Veron, Ferdinand, Berbatov, Van Nistolrooy, Fellaini et al, they weren't trying to buy the league?

Are you a Cockney Red?

Trevor B 3:58 Wed Sep 2
Re: De Gea
outspending is correct, because they were a very well run club that maximised it's revenue, a model that literally every other club would probably like to follow. chelsea and man city are a completely different kettle of fish, funded by owners who want to buy success, not build it.

Re: De Gea
Erm United regularly outspent everyone else for years, admittedly not in recent years, but what goes around comes around.

Re: De Gea
Flintsone - what about when they bought Henning Berg?

Or are we only talking about recent years?

Re: De Gea
Man utd bought the league on a regular basis

Crap

Out of them, City, Chelsea and Arsenal they were the only ones that didn't

Re: De Gea
Woodward is in charge of transfers.

Manchester United must be the only club on Earth with four first-team goalkeepers, and that would still have been the case had this deal gone through.

Re: De Gea
I think Real fucked Utd over. I think Man U wanted Navas as part of the deal and Madrid probably thought... nah.

20 odd mill and our keeper as well? i think we'll wait a year and get him on a free. They'll cut De Gea a nice big cheque out of the money they've saved.

Utd are now stuck with a keeper that doesnt want to play for them and another average one having loaned out lindergaard. they are also down 20m. No way Madrid are gonna pay 20m for a possibly cup tied keeper in december for just 5 months of a season.

Whoevers in charge of transfers over there is getting caught out all the time. Felani 26m??

Re: De Gea
Can't see it. He is Spanish and Real are number 1.
As painful as that is for Man Utd fans to accept.
The glory hunting Surrey and Asia based cunts.

Re: De Gea
As many have said, ManU may well have done themselves here, but my money is on De Gea being persuaded to A) get a new girlfriend and B) sign an extended contract at ManU.

Time will tell. A year is a long time in football.

Man utd bought the league on a regular basis, they can't anymore.

Fuck em.

Re: De Gea
I thought I heard that RM offered DeGea £12M not to sign now and to go for a free in June...

DeGea £12M up
RM £8M up
MU £20M down

Re: De Gea
Would love it if DeGea let a couple in through his legs in their next game v Liverpool.
Before he and Rooney are sent off for BRAWLING on the pitch.

LVG is a fucking fruit, this situation would never have happened under Taggart or even Moyes

Re: De Gea
I'd happily see them never win anything again. Fuck em the fucking fucks.

De Gea is probably the best keeper in the world, he'll be back in goal for them by the next game.

Re: De Gea
Doubt Real are too bothered. They'll just get him on a free next summer.

It's Man Utd that have fucked up here

Trevor B 12:55 Wed Sep 2
Re: De Gea
cholo to be honest mate, apart from us, i'd rather see them winning the PL than the likes of man city or chelsea. at least man utd have built their club over time and money spent comes from revenues generated, rather than being the plaything of billionaire owners.

Re: De Gea
Who else wants Martial to turn out like savio but on a much grander scale?

The demise of Man utd is funny.

Dutch idiot! What the fuck's he playing at? Should of got shot of that prima fucking donna months ago! I should never have retired!

Re: De Gea
I think that after seeing the performance of Romero against Swansea ManU need de Gea playing instead.
